[Some Bay fo' Yo Ass] #1 Blackjack - Addicted to Drama

I’d like to start with a street classic by rapper Blackjack, he has no tracks on RG so sadly I can’t link him, if you want to stream the album enter “addicted 2 drama blackjack” in the search bar and click enter and you’ll find the album.

One of my favourite tracks, probably my favourite is “Fuck Your Life”, which features Nutt-So (Who you probably know if you’re a 2Pac stan) and Jet Gambeano. A great track with nice storytelling and lyricism, plus a dope intro!

Another track I’d like to show is “Young G’s Perspective” this is because it features The Notorious B.I.G. on the hook, and I know how much you guys love him, a rapper named Snakes is also featured on the track.

R.I.P. Chuck Brown, the Originator of Go-Go [08/22/'36 - 05/16/'12]

Yesterday, May the 16th, Funk legend Chuck Brown passed away at age 75.
The Godfather of Go-Go’s biggest hit was probably “Bustin' Loose” the song has been adopted by the Washington Nationals baseball team as its home run celebration song, and was interpolated by Nelly for his ‘02 number one hit “Hot in Herre.”

Besides Nelly’s hit the song was also sampled in:

Terrace Martin - 808's & Sax Breaks

Some of y'all might know rapper/producer/saxophonist Terrace Martin, but for the people who don’t here’s something about him:

Martin came up in ‘04 as a producer for West Coast artists, he has produced for artists like; Nipsey Hussle, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Murs, Warren G, Talib Kweli, Glasses Malone, Kendrick Lamar, and produced with people like DJ Quik, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, Battlecat, & Hi-Tek.

In ‘07 his first mixtape dropped, called Signal Flow, he continued making mixtapes and dropped 3 more over the years, with all of them having legendary West Coast artists on them like Kurupt, DJ Quik, & Snoop Dogg.

In an interview he stated: “I started producing hip-hop tracks because it was the music of my time, but I never lost my love for jazz.

And this is what I wanted to talk about, I want to bet most of y'all heard Kanye West’s 808s & Heart Breaks. Well Terrace Martin released an 5-track EP with saxophone covers of tracks off 808’s & Heart Breaks called 808s & Sax Breaks.

I was able to find 3 out of the 5 tracks on Youtube, and I really really liked them, knowing the original songs adds a lot more flavour to the covers because you recognise stuff, the 3 tracks I found were “Heartless”, “Say You Will”, & “Amazing”, the other two tracks on it are “Love Lockdown”, & “Street Lights” but I just couldn’t find them.
So I told y'all what I think of this, but what do you people think?

Heartless // Say You Will // Amazing
